Release Day Review: Icing by Kelly Jamieson

Icing (Aces Hockey, #2)Icing

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Amber and Duncan each have a rough history when it comes to relationships. However, when they meet each other, the chemistry is sizzling!! However, both are resistant to a relationship, but as they get to know one another they cannot resist their sexual chemistry and fall into bed with each other. Amber is fine with this new development, but she has set some ground rules. No falling in love or developing a personal relationship beyond sex. Duncan is okay with this at first…
However, with Duncan being a professional hockey player, people are interested in his personal life and when people discover Amber and Duncan are an item, Amber’s past comes to light. Can Duncan accept who she is and where she comes from or will it be too much? Plus, Amber worries that Duncan is like many other professional athletes, living in excess.
Duncan realizes that he is breaking Amber’s rule because he is falling in love and he is scared that she won’t return his feelings because of her history. How can he move past her judgments based on her past? Or is she like all the women from his past, only after him because of his fame and money?
This is an enjoyable love story that makes you laugh, gets steamy, and is very sweet. It was hard to put down and I finished it in two days. I’m excited to read the rest of the series.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley
