But while life couldn’t be better for Rand, it seems to be falling apart for Catherine Lyons Vaughn, the dark haired, brown-eyed beauty that has captivated an entire sex club.
Having spent years degrading herself on her husband’s whim and now left destitute after his death, Catherine has hit rock bottom. With nothing but her body to peddle, Catherine is merely trying to figure out how to survive in a harsh, cruel world. Lucky for her, Rand has taken her under his tattooed wing, and he’s determined to give her a safe life where she can be the woman she was always meant to be.
Now all Catherine has to do is believe she deserves the chance.
Review-
All I can say is this is my favorite of the Wicked Horse series. This book is about believing in yourself, feeling that you deserve happiness. I loved Rand and Cat, they both had turbulent pasts, but in each other found themselves. While they found themselves, they steamed up the sheets, holy hotness.
It was sweet, in the beginning when Rand found Catherine, who wanted to be called Cat and just lost everything due to her husband not leaving her anything he promised according to his son Kevin, she was desperate and had no where to go. Rand became very protective and wanted to help her out. However, he fought the chemistry that they had and his desires to take her. He didn’t want her to get hurt and wanted her to get back on her feet.
Cat couldn’t understand why Rand was helping her out. She kept waiting for him to demand something in return, he never did. Cat fought the chemistry they had, she couldn’t imagine he would want a girl like her.
As they got to know each other, their desires grew and then they couldn’t resist it anymore. However, Cat figured Rand would tire of her and dispose of her like all the men in her life. Rand’s biggest desires, have Cat believe she was worthy and strong and spend the rest of his life with her. The challenge was making that happen and keeping her safe.
I loved watching Cat’s transformation in this book and Rand’s. They both had some growing to do and it was really enjoyable to read it. I loved this couple and it really is my favorite of the three books (though they are all awesome.) Definitely worth reading!!
