My rating: 4 of 5 stars
What an enjoyable novel! Quite a tale of fate, time traveling and shifters. The Highlander has passion and love so steamy, it almost made my iPad steam up!
Mairi is Ronan’s fated one, the one to break Ronan’s family curse, but problem is she is in the 21st century and he is in the 13th century. When her grandmother sends Ronan to the future their meeting starts off with a bang, especially when her car hits his wolf. She loads him in her car and takes him home to care for his wounds. That is the beginning of their tale, problem is now that he has her, Ronan is afraid of losing Mairi, especially if she knew the wolf she had tended, but thought ran away, was him. With that fear, he doesn’t tell her. That is the first of many things he doesn’t tell her, which could mean the end for them and his curse would remain or worse.
This is a great paranormal Scottish tale, very enjoyable to read. You do want to shake Ronan at times to get him to just tell all the truth, but that means the characters are engaging and the story has you enthralled. This story is engaging and enjoyable, would recommend it for sure!!
