Don’t read this unless you have read the Ex Games and Private Club by JS Cooper due to spoilers
Nancy Hastings, you have a date with your destiny. The lovers’ academy awaits you and so do I. Mr. X
The daughter of Brandon from the The Ex Games, The Private Club and After the Ex Games is Nancy. She hasn’t had an easy life; her mother who was drug addict and stripper and was murdered, had given her to her parents to raise as their own. Her father abandoned her thinking he was doing her a favor. She didn’t have a place that she fit in, she was looking for love. She had fallen in love with a teacher from her school, her fantasies were filled Hunter. When Frank told her that Hunter work for the Love Academy. So she applied and she was accepted. Once she figured out how to get of her “new” dad’s house, even though Brandon was trying to make up for 18 years of being out of her life, she got on a train and headed to The Love Academy.
On the train there was a sweet older man that sat by her. There was a younger man who just glares at her, though he did catch her when she was up and the lights went out. She meets up with 2 other young ladies going to the academy, Shannon and Amber. When they arrive at the Academy, Hunter doesn’t even recognize Nancy. However, guess who else is there? The young man from the train and he will be Nancy’s teacher. His name is Jaxson.
Nancy cannot figure out how she can be so attracted to Jaxson, especially when Hunter is there. Even though he was put with Shannon as a teacher.
He comes in for the first lesson and she denies her attraction, but he tells her
No, you’re not.” He cocked his head and smiled at me gently. “I can see in your eyes that you’re attracted to me. I can tell from the way your nostrils are flaring that you’re a bit angry, a bit confused, and a bit turned on. I can tell from the flush on your face that I’m making you hot. I can tell from the fact that you’re still standing here that you’re intrigued. You want to know what’s going to happen next.”
“No” I whispered
This book has so many twists and turns, I had no idea who Nancy should trust and who she should not. Is Jaxson good or bad? Is all as what is seems? Brandon and Greyson make an appearness, but only serve to make things even more murky. I really enjoyed the suspense. However, Ii seems that no one paid attention to who was around them because Nancy overheard many conversations that clued her into things that she wasn’t supposed to know. I did not like the ending so much, too much made me uncomfortable. I cannot wait to find out what happens in Games, Clubs & Trials coming out December 23, 2014 as the finale to the three series!!!
